Tarikh pe tarikh !

In our country we all know about the pathetic condition of our judiciary. In fact it is ridiculous. There are more than half cases pending over two decades. And whenever a judgement comes, if at all, it looks like a mockery.
The similarity can be drawn from a situation where  a thirsty man asks you for a glass of water and you are so kind to give him the ‘glass’ of water with may be a ‘drop’ of water and that too after two decades!
Whatever may be the reason, but there is an interesting story about it.

You all know about Aristotle. He was a famous scholar and a lawyer by profession. He was very successful and students of law used to come to study under him.
Once a man came to him and requested to teach him. Aristotle agreed on one condition that he will have to pay 100 gold coins in advance. The man said that he can pay 50 coins now and 50 if he wins his first case. On that Aristotle said-“No problem, my students never loose. But don’t break your promise.  ” And so he made the man his pupil and gave him all the knowledge on the subject. Eventually he became a lawyer.
Now Aristotle was waiting for the day when his pupil will win his first case and pay the remaining 50 gold coins to him. Years went by, nothing happened. Since the student was not practicing in the court; how can he ever win?
So Mr. Aristotle filed a case against him in the court. Now came the time when both of them were facing each other after so many years and that too in a court. The judge first asked Aristotle about the complaint. He told the whole story and added that whatever be the outcome of the case he will still get his 50 coins. The judge asked him how? He said that if he wins this case then according to the law he should get the 50 coins. And if he looses this case then it will mean that his student has won. Then still he will get the 50 coins as promised by his student! (That after winning his first case he will give the rest of the money).
The judge now turned towards the accused and asked if he had anything to say. As Aristotle has already cleared that whatever happens his student has to return those 50 gold coins.
But the judge had no clue that this man was a bigger lawyer than his teacher!
He said that whatever be the outcome of this case, I won’t have to pay those 50 coins.
Now the judge was irritated. He asked how that is possible.
Then he replied that if he looses this case he won’t have to pay as he had promised that he will pay only if he wins his first case. OK so far!
And if he wins this case that means Aristotle has made false charges against him and so according to the law, again he won’t have to pay! GREAT!
Mr. ‘Judge’ was now perplexed and had no other options but to give another date for a new trial!

An incredible story but actually this the real scenario of present India.
